Persoonlijk vind ik de meeste kinderportretten erg knap gemaakt en mooi, maar vaak wel een beetje saai. Een kunstwerk is iets om prominent in de kamer op te hangen, zeker gezien het als kunst toonbaar is.

WINNER OF 12th Pollux Award: CATEGORY PORTRAIT SINGLE - 2018

12th pollux awards

In this 12th edition of the Pollux Awards, a total of 682 photographers from 67 countries have submitted 4,220 photographs for consideration of the juror Philip Brookman. Yusuke Suzuke (Japan/USA) Elizabeth Koning was selected as winner of the CATEGORY PORTRAIT SINGLE and JoAnn Chaus (USA) was selected as the overall winner of the Non Professional Section. Ranjan Ramchandani (Singapore) was awarded Special Mention of the Juror. According to the rules of this edition of the Award, Yusuke, JoAnn and Ranjan will have a solo exhibition in Barcelona next May 2019.

ik invoelen hoe je werkelijk was bedoeld? Je bent een wezenloos verhaal, je benadert hoe water vissen doet ademen. Je bent zo zichtbaar onwaar, zo onzichtbaar van verstaan. Hoe
langer jij jezelf verzwijgt, hoe minder jij jezelf openbaart. Mysterieus ben je duidelijk en zonneklaar. Je hebt je ogen geloken en wikkelt je in stilzwijgen. Er is geen wereld zo gesloten onaf als jij. Ergens
nog een ingehouden gebaar, een glimp van een glimp, iets buiten dit hedendaagse leven. Wat zich doet gissen heeft kop noch staart, heeft aan sereen en wit nooit genoeg.Het
gezicht naar binnen gekeerd om elke vraag buiten te sluiten. Zo aanwezig elders buiten het oppervlakkig kijkend oog –
