Portrait by Commission

Elizabeth Koning commissions a small number of portraits every year as part of a commitment to Portraiture discipline. Portraiture is a discipline that takes a great amount of skill and time to complete, and I have had years of experience working as a commission portrait artist. I approach these works to not only resemble the subject but to also contain the feel of who the person is. Commissioning a custom-made artwork is a unique and exciting experience!

Work by Elizabeth Koning are exhibited in the Singer Museum in Laren, the Westfries Museum, Stedelijk Museum Zwolle, Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, Amsterdam Rai and Klompching Gallery, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, USA, Quatar. Publications such as Vogue, Elle, Forbes, NRC Handelsblad, Elegance, TMC and the Telegraph. Renowned clients, both locally and abroad such as University of Amsterdam, Erasmus Rotterdam, Bisdom Utrecht, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Marc Marie Huibrechts.

Work is printed on the best professional Fuji Photo paper, glued on Dibond and can be provided with UV-resistant acrylic glass, for a nice deep impact. The work is on the back with an (on the front not visible) aluminum frame, so that it can be hung a floating on the wall resulting in a very nice experience.
